This session with the Flaska family was such a special one. It’s not often that I photograph in-home newborn sessions these days, but the Flaskas were an exception I was more than happy to make. I loved traveling up to their home in Chicago to document their new family of three… Well, four if you count their sweet pup Puddles, who happily joined in on the fun!
Walking into their home felt a little full-circle. Just one year ago, we were at their home, cameras in hand, celebrating their Chicago wedding day with photos. This time, the energy was quieter, softer, and filled with that beautiful brand-new kind of love that only a newborn brings. A lot can happen in a year, and the Flaska family has been so incredibly blessed this fall.
Baby snuggles, a cozy Chicago home, and the sweetest family – it doesn’t get much better. I’m so grateful this family invited me back to capture this next chapter. Watching past wedding couples become parents will forever be one of the greatest joys of this job.
