The holiday season always carries a little bit of magic in the air – so much joy, love, and gratitude for family, friends, and all of life’s blessings. This year, I had the absolute pleasure of welcoming the Reardanz family to the studio just before Thanksgiving for a session that was truly one for the heart!
These photos were extra special because they were the Reardanz family’s first official family portraits that weren’t tied to one of their sons’ wedding day, and they included their grandson! Planning this session with Dawn was such a joy. She is incredibly sweet, thoughtful, and made the process so easy and enjoyable from start to finish.
What made this session even more meaningful is that the Reardanz family is spread across the country. This was a rare and special opportunity for all of them to gather together in Kankakee County before their parents move on to their next chapter. Capturing the love, laughter, and connection between them was such an honor. It’s moments like these that remind me why I love what I do – the sentiment behind a session can be just as important as the photos themselves.
I feel so grateful to have been trusted to document this beautiful family’s story and these cherished memories. Moments like these pass by too quickly, and I’m so glad I could preserve a little bit of their magic for years to come!
