Two and a half weeks ago, I had the honor to photograph another Osterhous daughter’s wedding. That’s right, this time it was Jessica’s turn!
Growing up in a small town (or area), you know a lot of people. That sometimes means that you know them well or you simply “know” them. Before the first Osterhous wedding I photographed in 2015, the Osterhous sisters were familiar faces, but their weddings have allowed me to build connections and a relationship with each of them, their families, and their now husbands!
At last year’s wedding, I had the chance to work with Jessica and AJ as they were bridal party members. And you know what? They were an absolute joy to work with! They were engaged at the time, so I was excited to see their wedding plans unfold in the near future.
Soon after her sister’s wedding, Jessica contacted me and once we started talking we both knew our relationship would be a fabulous fit for their wedding day! And she and her fiancé were already familiar with the way I approach wedding photography – win, win! was already At that time, I learned that Jessica and AJ had already been together for 5 years. And, my favorite part? Their wedding date was June 11, 2016 in honor of Jessica’s grandparents’ June 12th wedding anniversary. Talk about a meaningful date and wedding weekend!
In the fall, the three of us had so much fun at Jessica and AJ’s engagement session. The grassy field and cornfield photos are still some of my favorite fall e-session images to date!
From the start, I knew bringing their families and friends together at the wedding was very important to Jessica and AJ! On their wedding day, this was abundantly clear, and I could easily take a moment and smile at the fact that everyone was simply enjoying the day and each other’s company. To me, those are the special moments to take a step back and truly be present with what is unfolding in front of you!
Throughout the entire day, Jessica and AJ were relaxed and amazing to work with despite the 96 degree heat and over 100 degree heat index! Their love and admiration for one another was beautiful, and I am thankful to know them and to have been able to capture the very beginning of their marriage.
Jessica & AJ – Congratulations again! I am so excited to share these photos with you and your loved ones!
