More engagement sessions mean more blog posts!

Ivanna and Chris two met at their dorm’s small group bible study during undergrad at the University of Illinois. And what started as a beautiful friendship soon blossomed into something more! This past summer, Chris surprised Ivanna with a proposal over her birthday weekend. They started the day at some very special places throughout campus – visiting the location of their first date, lunch at their favorite lunch restaurant, and more. After lunch, Chris got down on one knee and proposed at the very spot where they ended their first date on campus. Then, later that day these two traveled to the Chicago suburbs to celebrate with their families and friends. Sounds like the most magical and perfect day to me!

I connected with these two earlier this year after they stumbled across my work online, and  I’m honored to be able to share more of their engagement session today! Working around Chris’s campus missionary and Ivanna’s physician assistant school schedules, we were praying for a beautiful day for their engagement session… And we were so thankful when the day finally arrived!

On the day of their session, the sun was shining, and these two were as cute as can be. I mean, wait until you see these photos! I loved meeting them in the downtown Champaign area to start the session… The textures + urban backdrop were the perfect place to start. Then, we traveled to the University of Illinois Arboretum to finish the session. The glowing sunlight coming through the trees was absolutely perfect!

I just loved photographing their engagement session and can’t wait for their summer wedding next year!
