Since it’s Wednesday and I’m blogging, why not start a “Wedding Wednesday” blog series that is filled with tips, advice, pretty photos, and all things wedding!
On your wedding day, you want to remember each and every second of the day, so unwanted distractions cannot occur. It’s important to think ahead, plan, and make sure that every second is filled with joy throughout your wedding day.
Today, I’m sharing my favorite tip (and most often shared advice given to my couples) about the getting ready process on your wedding day! We all know that wedding days often come with months of anticipation, planning, and unfortunately, stress, so it is imperative that the day flows smoothly and without hiccups.
To do so, I always recommend that my brides, and grooms, gather all of their special details a few days before their wedding and keep them all in one place. These details can be things like shoes, jewelry, the rings, hairpiece, special gifts, etc. In doing this, one step of potential stress is eliminated on the wedding day.
As the photographer, it is beneficial to both myself and the bride and groom to have these details ready and together when I arrive. This way, no one has to scramble to find out where the bride’s shoes ran off to!
All of these details can be grouped together in a box, or “bride” bag as I’ve seen at many weddings, so they are easy to find. It’s always a good idea to ask the Maid/Matron of Honor or Mother of the Bride to be in charge of this bag, too!
Then, on the day of the wedding, this bag can be in the bridal suite near the flowers that were just delivered, bride’s pressed dress, and the bridesmaid’s dresses and shoes. Everything can be together in one place and no one will have to worry!
As you can hopefully tell, I am all about eliminating wedding day stress, and I hope that this simple tip can help make your wedding day even better! This is just one of the many little things that you can do (that doesn’t take a a lot of time) to plan ahead for your wedding day. Sometimes, these little things are not on our minds!
To me and I’m sure to you too (whether you’re a bride, bridesmaid, mother of the bride, or friend), it’s important that #bridesbykara and other brides are prepared, relaxed, and able to enjoy their wedding days without the added stress little details can bring!
