Amanda and Drew are married! What an honor to photograph their fall Willowhaven wedding day and share it here on the blog!
I met Amanda and Drew over the summer as they started planning their wedding day and have loved them ever since! They are kind-hearted, fun, and all-around amazing people. I’m so thankful that their wedding day brought them into my life! From taking their engagement photos to photographing their wedding day, I hope to photograph their family for years to come.
The Love Story
Amanda and Drew met over a Twitter DM in high school, dated then, and went separate ways for a few years. In 2020, the relationship rekindled after Amanda added Drew on Facebook and from there it was history. Fast forward to Amanda moving to South Carolina where Drew was stationed in the Air Force to buying a house and finding out they were expecting their first child. Now, they’re back in Illinois where their kiddos can grow up at home with family. This past spring, Drew proposed to Amanda on Easter.

The Wedding Day
Amanda and Drew’s wedding day was a whirlwind! From getting ready at our photography studio in downtown Kankakee (a first for us and so much fun!) and enjoying the fall scenery at Willowhaven for their wedding to making our way back to Kankakee to celebrate… This was such a fun wedding day! I loved spending it with such a laid-back couple and their amazing families. Trust me, the people of this wedding day made it that much more amazing!
Some of my favorite details of the day were how Amanda and Drew brought their styles of boho and country together. The bridesmaids dresses and flowers (made by the bride’s mama!) were so perfect for the fall sesason. A few windy days before their wedding day took many of the remaining fall leaves off the trees at Willowhaven, but the fall sunlight and a few orange trees at Willowhaven made the perfect backdrop. I cannot get over the gorgeous fall photos we created on this wedding day! Truly, I have so much love for these people and thinking back to their wedding day makes me smile!
