Early last week, I loved exploring a new location while photographing Erin and Drew’s engagement session. These two are as cute as can be, and I loved photographing their love! Oh, and their adorable puppy Wrigley, too!

Erin and Drew are high school sweethearts… How sweet! I love this because my hubby and I are high school sweethearts. It’s always fun to connect to people in this way because you’ve, in a sense, truly grown up with that person – your love – and shared many experiences with that person throughout time. And it even more proves that your high school sweetheart is your true best friend!

Last Christmas – on their first Christmas off work together in a few years – Drew proposed to Erin! After going to Drew’s family’s home and to the fairground, he proposed to Erin at a location they could forever go back to. I LOVE this! How incredibly sweet and sentimental. In the months leading up to this engagement session after booking their wedding photography, I loved planning with Erin + getting to know her better, and she got me so excited to shoot at a new location! We were at the highest peak in Kankakee county, and the view was gorgeous… Especially as storms were rolling in throughout the time of our session. Those skies were beautifully and wonderfully created!

I love these two so much – their playful love and laughter is as sweet as can be, and they are a joy to be around! They are laid-back and relaxed, and their January wedding day is going to be an absolute dream! Loved this session with Erin + Drew!
