Meet Brittany and John.
These two went to senior prom together in 2010. After prom, they started dating – only thinking it would be a summer fling before Brittany started college at U of I and John went to Purdue – but the rest is truly history. Last December, John proposed to Brittany after church one Sunday and completely surprised her! Now these two have been together for over eight years and are planning their wedding day!
Earlier this year, I connected with Brittany and John as they started planning their wedding. It was a joy to hear from Brittany in all of her excited engagement bliss after I had the opportunity to work with her at Shelby and Tim’s wedding last year. I love when my sweet couples connect me to other engaged couples – it’s the very best! My job is my joy, and each and every one of these couples is dear to my heart!
A few weeks ago, Kyle and I traveled down to Nashville for their engagement session. After Brittany finished dental school this spring, Brittany and John made the move to Nashville for new jobs in a new city – together. These two have spent most of their relationship long distance, and they are loving being in the same city together. Life is sweet!
We loved traveling down for their session! It’s always fun to photograph couples in new places, and we loved the change of scenery. We started the session at a local forest preserve to catch a few of the fall colors in Tennessee, and then we finished the session along the river walkway and pedestrian bridge in Nashville. I loved how easy-going and comfortable Brittany and John are together. They fit perfectly together! Between this couple, the golden sunlight, and the city skyline setting… This Nashville engagement session was a dream!
I’m honored to share these photos with you today! So, so excited for their wedding back home in Illinois next year!
