I know I’ve been MIA for a bit, but I WILL get back to blogging. The plan is to blog (for all of you to enjoy) at least once a week besides regular sessions and weddings. Here’s to new plans!
What would you like see on the blog in the coming weeks and months? Feel free to leave a comment below – I’d love to know!
Today I’m sharing my first session of 2015, and let me tell you this session definitely set the tone for the coming year!
The first weekend of January, Lauren and Dustin met me at Washington Park in Springfield, Illinois for their engagement photo session. I cannot even begin to tell you how frigidly cold it was this day… But we were all troopers!
My husband and second shooter Kyle came along and had blankets and hot cocoa on standby for the entire session. Ummm, talk about melting my heart. It is simply amazing sharing this journey with him.
Kyle works with Lauren at the 183rd Fighter Wing of the Illinois Air National Guard in Springfield, Illinois, so it was awesome that she contacted me for their photos! I am so grateful that I am able to share my work and create for all of you near and far.
So like I said, it was cold. Take a guess… Oh maybe you’d guess 20 degrees, 13 degrees, NOPE it was -6 degrees with the windchill, but let me tell you the photos are phenomenal! I think Lauren and Dustin can testify to the fact that it was entirely worth it 🙂
Lauren and Dustin – Congratulations on your engagement! We loved spending the afternoon with the two of you creating your engagement photos!
XOX,
Kara
