Remember when I blogged about how practice makes perfect? That is, when a bride practices putting on her wedding dress – outside of the bridal shop + seamstresses presence – we can minimize stress on the wedding day. Well, the bride’s bustle for her wedding dress calls for the same… PRACTICE!
I completely get it, and I’ve been in your shoes – not all of your bridesmaids can make it to your dress fitting(s) or watch how the dress + bustle operates. And that’s okay! Simply take time to find at least one designated person that understands how to operate the bustle of your dress. Taking this little step of preparation prior to your wedding day will add to the stress-free and fun nature of the day. As a photographer, I have seen SO MANY different bustles and can almost always figure out how they operate, but it truly helps when one member of your tribe (aka bridal party + family + friends) knows how to bustle your wedding dress!
Don’t worry, I promise you won’t have to say, “help, we forgot how to bustle the bride’s wedding dress!”
