I spent the hottest night of the summer with the Scherf-Witzman crew at Legion Park in Watseka. And let me tell you, it was so worth it! Everyone braved the heat, and judging by the smiles, giggles, and sweet moments shared, I’d say this session was a huge success. I absolutely loved capturing these memories for a family that means so much to me.
The Scherf family holds a special place in my heart. I’ve been best friends with Kylie since fifth grade and my best friend cousin, Sara, married Kylie’s older brother. After all these years, milestones, and memories, this family truly feels like my own. Watching their family grow and getting to photograph it along the way is something I’ll never take for granted.
One of the things I loved most about this session was that it reminded me just how important it is to keep updating your family photos – even when the kids are grown and have little ones of their own. There’s something really meaningful about capturing multi-generational love… About freezing this chapter where grandkids are running around and grown-up siblings are now parents themselves. These are the moments that tell the bigger story of your family.
To the Scherf-Witzman crew – thank you for trusting me with these memories. I adore you all and love having your laughter, joy, and love in front of my lens.
