The most beautiful fall wedding day at Town & Country Events with Abby and Max is here!
When I think about Abby and Max, I can’t help but smile. They’re kind, gentle souls and the perfect match for one another. It’s truly been an honor getting to know them as a couple throughout the past year. Fun fact – I photographed their engagement session the day before Thanksgiving last year, so it’s only fitting that their blog post and wedding photos are ready today – the day before Thanksgiving – this year.

From The Bride
My dad and one of Max’s family friends set us up! We both grew up in Iroquois County and knew of each other, but we had never actually met until our first date. The proposal happened on my birthday at the very end of the night. He had set out one final box for me to open. Inside of the box was an “R” necklace and when I looked up from it, Max was down on one knee ready to ask if I “want to be a Redenius”. I was SHOCKED! Not because I didn’t think that it would ever happen, but more so because we had not looked at rings yet. He wanted to surprise me, but he also wanted me to pick out a ring that I love. So sweet!! Not the most conventional, but it was perfect for us.
Favorite Part of The Planning Process
My favorite part of the planning process has been having a large “project” to work on and plan out together. I feel it has strengthened Max and I’s relationship in many ways.
Advice for Engaged Couples
Dedicate intentional time throughout the process to prepare for your marriage, as it lasts a lifetime! Your wedding is important, but it is only one day.
The Wedding Day
Abby and Max’s wedding day truly was the perfect fall day! Kyle and I started the day at their venue, Town & Country Events, where everyone was excitedly getting ready for the day.
This wedding day was extra special to me because I photographed Abby’s sister’s wedding (hi Brittany & Luke!) back in 2016. It feels like so long ago and like yesterday all at the same time. What an honor to be welcomed back into the family for another wedding day!
As hair and makeup wrapped up, Abby shared sweet, quiet moments with her mom, sister, and dad. I loved photographing these moments and seeing the pure joy and excitement in Abby’s eyes. Soon enough, we were making our way downstairs for the first look. Abby and Max’s first look was one of my favorites of all time. It was so tender and loving and sweet. It makes my heart happy that they chose to share these moments with each other before the hustle and bustle of the day!
Throughout wedding party and couples photos, we were thankful that the fall colors were at their peak. I mean, look at those photos! Once photos wrapped up, we made our way to Milford Christian Church for the ceremony. Abby has attended Milford Christian Church for her entire life, so we loved that sentiment for their wedding ceremony.
After the ceremony, Abby and Max exited the church in style – driving off in Max’s family’s vintage Ford truck. We loved capturing these sentimental moments!
Then, it was time to celebrate! Abby and Max hosted a fun celebration back at Town & Country Events for their family, friends, and loved ones. The love for the couple filled the room. Abby and Max are the best people, and we were all just so excited to be celebrating them!
