Meet Erin and Matt – the soon-to-be newlyweds later this year! I loved meeting these two for their downtown Springfield engagement session in early September.
These two met a couple of years ago at a bar. Matt was singing karaoke, and they met after he finished singing. They didn’t exchange numbers that night, so it was by chance that they saw each other again and were finally able to exchange numbers. They told me that they knew from those early days of dating that they would get married. Fast forward eight months to when Matt surprised Erin with a proposal! Now they’re planning their fall 2020 wedding day!
It was a joy to connect with these two earlier this year as they started planning the details of their wedding day. Erin and I grew up as family friends in our small town, so it was heartwarming that she remembered my work when she got engaged! It’s been fun to reconnect with Erin and get to know these two as a couple over the past months. They’re just a pretty awesome couple and a perfect match – anyone that knows them would agree!
On the evening of their session, we had overcast weather and a fall-like breeze. And we were thankful for no rain! We started the session at the Lincoln Home in Springfield before moving to Capitol Avenue for some shots with the state capitol in the background. I LOVED this session and these photos… Erin and Matt (and their pup Colt!) were naturals! Their Springfield engagement session makes me even more excited for their wedding day in October!
