I just loved meeting up with Melissa and Adam for their Lake Ellyn engagement photos in early July – summer engagement sessions are my jam!
A few months back, Melissa and Adam jumped into wedding planning and found my work through another one of our past #karaevanscouples, Brittany and Nic. Small world – Melissa and Brittany used to work together as teachers! I love it and am thankful for the connection!
Over six years ago, these Melissa and Adam met at a late-night bar in Chicago. And after six years of being together, Adam proposed and took Melissa by surprise last year! They were supposed to be having a rooftop dinner in the city with “college friends” when Adam actually was planning a proposal. After he popped the question and she said yes, several of their best friends joined the celebration! And of course, they ended the night and celebration at their favorite late-night bar where they met all those years ago!
Melissa and I have had fun getting to know each other and texting back and forth over these last few months. After we couldn’t meet in-person earlier this spring due to coronavirus, we were so excited to officially meet at their Lake Ellyn engagement photos. On the evening of their engagement session, we were thankful for a gorgeous summer evening! This was my first visit to Lake Ellyn, and I’m sure it won’t be my last! From the lake and tall grasses to pretty flowers… This location is a winner!
