Whoa, where did the month of July go? As usual, I’m happy to share a recap of our last month of doing life together!

The month of July started out with some pool time (amen!) and a night swim with some of our cousins. But best of all? A new little baby boy was born in our family. So, so sweet! And before we knew it, it was the Fourth of July which brought a stop by a local parade to see our niece Sofia toted along in her stroller followed by a perfect summer pool day. Hot summer days like that are my favorite!

Then the first weekend of the month brought a trip to the airport to pickup my sister-in-law and niece who were visiting AND a gorgeous downtown Chicago wedding day. Then, after we wrapped up the wedding, we spent our Sunday morning at church before another pool day in the afternoon… Can you tell I’ve been going to the water any chance we get?!

As we rolled into the second week of July, life got a little nutty! From the birth of our second nephew (yep, two new baby boys in the family this past month!) to a few days with my niece and nephew, it was full. I so loved my time with the littles though as Auntie Kara. In between time with the littles in our life that week, I loved taking one day away from family to photograph my best friend’s wedding. It was a true dream of a day!

By the time the weekend rolled around, we were thankful our niece Pix got to spend the weekend with us from gardening to pool time to a trip to Don’s for “ice keemy” as she calls it.

As the month kept (almost literally) flying by, I spent a little time snuggling the new littles and taking their photos while Kyle spent a week in San Diego for Comic Con. When Kyle returned from his trip, we showered one of the new babies with love and gifts before July started to come to a close.

The last week of the month brought another Happy Hour for Creatives call hosted by yours truly, and the most adorable session of our sweet friends before we rounded out our July weddings on the last Saturday of the month.

In the last days of the month, we enjoyed a canoe trip on the Kankakee River with two other married couples that are friends of ours… And yet another Taco Tuesday gathering with our friends Joe and Michaela before we were saying – holy cow, it’s already August!

The past month of July was full of family, summer weddings, and lots of fun in the sun! Here’s to August!
