Meet Mattie and Rolando!

These two got engaged this past summer and are planning their winter wedding day for this December – so fun! Mattie and Rolando met at Indiana University during their last year of coursework for their Doctorate degrees… Mattie told me that when she saw him across the room, she knew he was the one! Earlier this summer, Rolando visited Mattie in Sante Fe, where she was singing at Santa Fe Opera all summer, and completely surprised her with a proposal. I love it!

This couple is the perfect match. They are kind, compassionate, and talented professional classical musicians and professors. They love their families, careers, and spending time together!

It was a joy to meet these two in Springfield on December 28th – one year from their wedding date – for their engagement photos. After a rainy day reschedule the week before, we were thankful for their session on such a special day. We started the session at Washington Park in Springfield, one of Mattie and Rolando’s favorites in the area, and then finished the session on the west side of Springfield. Even though the real feel was 14 degrees, you wouldn’t know it because these two rocked their session!
