Happy New Year! But before I get too ahead of myself, I would LOVE to recap the past month of December!

December started out with an amazing day… My cousin + best friend Shana’s wedding day! It was so refreshing to be on the “other side” of things as a bridesmaid all weekend long. Plus, my best photog friend Kate was Shana’s wedding photographer – it doesn’t get much better than that! Loved that day!

After we all recovered from wedding weekend (there is SO much that goes into the entire process, but it went off without a hitch!), Kyle and I rolled into our last two weddings of 2017, I finished up a handful of December sessions (a handful that were FREEZING cold but we rocked it anyway!), and we spent lots of quality time with one another and our loved ones over the Christmas + New Year’s holidays. Oh, and the two of us even took a day trip to New Glarus Brewery in Wisconsin last month – what fun! And the icing on the cake this past month… Kyle and I got to meet our new nephew Cooper! We are in love and the proudest Auntie and Uncle.

At the end of 2017, we are thankful. From Kyle’s deployment homecoming… To meeting our niece Anna Pixley… To our third wedding anniversary… To a bachelorette weekend in Ft. Meyers Beach (and another in the Ozarks!)… To not one, but TWO of my best friends’ weddings… To meeting our nephew Cooper… And of course, to all of the Georgie girl snuggles + time with each other and our loved ones – what a year!

Now, my winter retreat (as I like to call it) has officially begun! Over the next few months, you’ll finding me in my office organizing + planning, working on projects, chatting with lovely couples, starting the 2018 wedding season slow, and of course, I will be sure to find time for relaxation, reading, and a few trips with Kyle. The winter months are so rejuvenating after a wonderful season!
