The most beautiful studio and tree farm engagement session is here!
Meet Abby & Max! Abby is the younger sister of one of my 2016 brides, Brittany. It’s an honor to be welcomed back into the family for Abby’s wedding coming up in 2022.
Abby and Max’s story goes back three years. After accepting her first teaching job out of college, Abby’s dad would tell people that “if we want her to stick around Iroquois County, we have to find her a man!” He said this one day at a bank, and as he was walking out, one of the tellers said that she knew the perfect guy. Somehow phone numbers got exchanged, and here we are!
This fall, Max surprised Abby on her birthday with a proposal, and now they’re planning their fall 2022 wedding day!
Since they got engaged a couple of months ago, we jumped into all things wedding photography and started planning their engagement session before the end of the year. I loved planning all the details, outfits, and everything in between with Abby over these past few weeks!
On the day of their session, we started photos at our natural light studio in downtown Kankakee. I love the simple, minimalist vibes of these photos – it was the perfect way to kick off their session.
Then, after changing otufits, we made a quick stop at Perry Farm for a few photos before heading out to the tree farm in Kankakee – Christmas Trees R Us – to wrap up the session.
I loved exploring the Christmas tree farm with Abby and Max, getting to know them as a couple better, and hearing the excitement in their voices for their upcoming wedding day. These two have found a perfect match in one another, and it’s an honor to photograph their love story.
