Emily and Billy met and had their first date at Firkin in Libertyville, Illinois. The rest was history as these two fell in love and looked forward to their future together.

After Billy proposed last fall, Emily and her sister, Erin, were ready to plan and find a photographer! I am thankful that Erin, as a photographer herself, contacted me and we booked engagement and wedding photography!

Our session started in downtown Libertyville, Illinois at Firkin – how fitting! One could clearly see how important the place of their first date is to them. They were so comfortable cuddling into each other, laughing, and being completely in the moment.

Between outfit changes, it started pouring down rain, but as soon as we arrived at the nature preserve, the rain disappeared. Emily and Billy were ready to roll and were so on top of the session so that we could photograph everything we wanted to photograph while racing the rain!

Their session ended with a total downpour and kissing under an umbrella, and those photos are some of my absolute favorite from the day!
