So many faithful and trusting clients and friends share their families, love, and life with me, so I always want to do the same for you!

It’s been such a wonderful summer, and… We got a puppy!! I’m so excited to share photos of our new little lady. She is seriously growing like a weed, and we absolutely adore her!

My husband, Kyle, and I have grown up with pets all of our lives, but after we got married and moved in together, we left our family pets behind and hadn’t had one of our own for over a year. If you’re an animal lover then I’m sure you’ll know how sad this was for the two of us… Pets are such a wonderful companion and member of the family, and it was just sad not having one of our own! It definitely made our visits home that much sweeter when we could visit our family and friends AND snuggle our family pets.

Earlier this year, Kyle and I got “puppy fever” and started looking around, debating on what breed and type of dog we wanted. Summer, we thought, and warm weather would be the perfect time to welcome a puppy to our family. So, we knew we wanted a dog, but we just didn’t know what kind! We both wanted the same things in a dog – family friendly, lazy but active for evening walks and play time, and an all-around good companion – but we could NOT agree on a breed.

We finally agreed that we wanted to rescue a puppy from a shelter, and I just so happened to run across a photographer friend and graphic designer’s post about the shelter she works for. After that, we knew we wanted to adopt from Wright Way Rescue, applied, and waited to be approved! And let me tell you, that is nerve-wracking!

Once we were approved, we watched the Wright Way website, ooh-ed and ahh-ed over adorable puppies, and finally came across the cutest little black and tan fur ball. Her name was Whoopi, and we were in love! We setup a visit, met little miss, and welcomed her to our family! At this point, we didn’t care what kind our puppy was, but that we would love her so, so much – they say that she is likely an English Springer Spaniel mix, but we have no idea and love her just the same!

Now, Georgie Ann Evans is 14 weeks old, full of energy, snuggles, and we are loving every bit of being puppy parents! You might think I’m crazy, but I am a major lover for dogs and Miss Georgie has stolen my heart (our hearts).

To keep up with Georgie’s happenings, check out #GeorgieAnnEvans on Instagram!

So, in honor of our Georgie, we took updated family photos, puppy photos, and headshots on a warm summer night a few weeks ago! It’s crazy to see how much she’s grown since these photos, but I’m so glad that we took the time to have my dad take a few photos for us.

I mean really, isn’t she just so sweet?!
